Career Assessment and Counseling

Evaluation of interests and values in order to find a more fulfilling career choice, determine a career path, or make a job change at any point in your career

My expertise is in the career discovery phase of career planning.  I help individuals develop insight into their interests (career and otherwise) to determine which types of career fields and jobs might be a good fit for them using an assessment called the Strong Interest Inventory.  I also help individuals refine their career goals and interests using a values assessment.

Three Session Program:

I offer individuals three counseling sessions and two assessments (which are completed at home).  Most people find three sessions is sufficient to building a solid idea of what field and job type to pursue.  Here is an outline of what is covered in each session.

Session One

An intake session where I gather information about your career history and current needs.

Session Two

Review Strong Interest Inventory assessment and evaluate career interests.

Session Three

Review Values assessment and integrate these results to help inform your next career related decisions and address the specific goals formulated during the initial meeting.

The Three Session Program is $375 (including assessments).

Career counseling is not a covered service by insurance.

I am not an expert in the job application process (resume writing, interviewing, networking).  If these are the type of services you are more interested in, I would recommend the services of the Career Transition Center of Chicago (https://www.ctcchicago.org/DD1.asp).
